Having spent his entire life underground, the charred wasteland of the surface holds both wonder and fear for Nikko. Now alone in this harsh, yet beautiful world, his most imminent mission is to locate the beacon that Dr. Kim told him would lead to a safe haven. As he traveled deeper into the ruins of the abandoned city, he began to sense he was being watched. Dubbed the UNDESIRABLES, the surface scavengers are all that remain of the human race. Like packs of rapid dogs, having long since gone insane by the radiation poisoning and inbreeding, these mutated thugs travel in scattered gangs fighting each other for territory, food and weapons. Only the strong survive. As darkness creeps over the land, Nikko is attracted to a nearby campfire. Mesmerized by the fire, he is unaware of the mounting danger behind him. Although completely outmatched, Nikko’s instincts kick in and he does what he was trained to do: Survive. Exhausted by the combat, Nikko searches for shelter underground where he won’t be exposed to the elements or attack. Deep in the bowels of the desiccated building, he discovers a room containing a bed and an abundance of food and supplies. With Food, Shelter and the means to defend himself, Nikko has found a new home.
